Keyboard Shortcuts

PraxisNote supports keyboard shortcuts for common actions so you can navigate and operate the app without reaching for your mouse.

Modifier key

Throughout this page, Mod refers to:

• Cmd (⌘) on macOS
• Ctrl on Windows and Linux

For example, “Mod+B” means Cmd+B on Mac or Ctrl+B on Windows/Linux.

Tips

Learn the slash command aliases

Slash commands are the fastest way to format content. Memorize the short aliases — /h1, /ul, /task, /code, /hr — and you’ll rarely need the toolbar.

The search shortcut

On both the Tasks and Notes pages, pressing / when not in a text field focuses the search bar. This is the fastest way to find items.

Mod key display

In the note editor, slash commands display their keyboard shortcut in the menu using platform-native symbols: ⌘ for Cmd on Mac, Ctrl+ on Windows/Linux.
